The Compost Bin turns pig dung into fertiliser for the fields. One recipe, and it is the farmer’s — two dung in, one fertiliser out, three and a half hours a run.
The dung is scooped off your pigs with a small basket. A hundred of it is fifty fertiliser and a little over a week of continuous running, so this is a station you set going and leave rather than one you tend.
Worth knowing: dung has a second buyer. The leather tanner wants one per animal hide and one per prepared hide, so if anyone in the colony works leather you are both reaching into the same pile.
