What stats are best?

Continuing the discussion from 3 More Days Until the Marketplace HUB & Merchant Mini-Game Launch!:

Picking a race can be difficult, depending on which profession you are likely to play.

There is information about races here:

But, in saying that, there is much more to consider. There are some stats that people are not aware of that affect the gameplay they have chosen.

This post is being converted into a WIKI so members of the community can update it as needed if there have been more changes to the system since.

Strength

Affects your Hunger & Blood by +5 for each level.
It also affects the damage you do with Melee Weapons.
You can also increase your damage dealt further by being a Ranger and levelling up, as each level of Ranger will increase the damage of weapons, both Melee and Ranged.

Dexterity

Affects your Energy by +10 & Fatigue by +5 for each level.
It also affects the damage you do with Ranged Weapons.
You can also increase your damage dealt further by being a Ranger and levelling up, as each level of Ranger will increase the damage of weapons, both Melee and Ranged.

Constitution

Affects your Health by +10, Energy by +10 & Poison by +5 for each level.

Intelligence

Affects your Thirst & Fatigue by +5 for each level.
This stat also lets you detect if a rezzable food or drink has been affected by a potion you would not usually see. Your intelligence has to be higher than that of the player who added the tonic to the food before you can detect it, though!
Intelligence will also affect how much damage one does with certain magic spells and enchants.
Bonuses to the Enchanter profession.

Wisdom

Affects your Blood & Poison by +5 for each level.
This stat also allows you to remove a potion that someone has added to a rezzable food or drink, or you can replace the tincture with your own to counter it. First, you need to be able to detect a potion already affecting the food or drink, though!
Intelligence will also affect how much damage one does with certain magic spells and enchants.
Bonuses to the Enchanter profession.

Charisma

Affects your Thirst & Hunger by +5 for each level.
This stat will give you discounts in the Marketplace. The higher your Charisma, the better prices you will get. You will also be able to purchase goods much cheaper than others.
The Merchant Profession is recommended to complement Charisma, as every level of Merchant will also increase the bonuses. Merchant Level also increases your rewards obtained in the Merchant Mini-Games.

I hope this helps.
