I bought a storage chest at the main store. I waited for the delivery. Once I got home I couldn’t find a storage chest inside the storage chest. I tried touching the storage chest that I rezzed out of the folder but I did not get a blue menu? Only got an additional empty folder without a storage chest.

Try right clicking that delivered chest and click on edit. Go to its contents and there should be a storage chest inside the contents which you can drag out.
