The Fermentor is the second brewery step: sugars go in, alcohol comes out. Juice, a sweetener and a named yeast strain work together over days — the official vinegar takes five, Wine a little over nine. A hydrometer reads the batch’s specific gravity, so you can work out its ABV.
It sits downstream of the Wine Press for juices, the Cooking Station for sugar and the Mash Tun for malted mash. Much of what it makes moves on rather than being drunk straight: the Distillery concentrates finished brews, the Aging Barrels rest them on oak, bottling puts them in glass. Vinegar is the exception, and the most-wanted thing here — over fifty cooking recipes call for it, plus herbalism.
Start with vinegar at level 2; almost everything else here is level 3. And stock yeast first — 360 of the 361 recipes need a strain, none is craftable anywhere, and each recipe names its own, so wine yeast will not stand in for spirit yeast.
