Potion bottles - Unable to paste UUID on HUD and how to Craft

Trying to make sense of what you are are trying to say so that @drakkhis can look into it.

So you’ve made 3 different potions so far and 3 of them have a different type of problem?

So when you tried to make this one, you had no option to add a UUID for your own logo?

And what you mean here is if you try to make bottles using the web based version of the system, you cannot get a craft/create button. But if you do it in-game HUD it will show you craft?

Who’s trading what here? You are trying to rez a potion or give to someone else?

@drakkhis actually we need to make a potion category to keep the list a bit smaller. So we have Items, Weapons, Furniture, Potions.

I sent myself your potion and was able to obtain it:

Using the web based option it doesn’t work., to create a bottle with a potion. But there you can change the uuid for own label.

On the hudbased option you can create a potion bottle but only with the standard SLC label.

When you have created a potion bottle you can’t sent them to somebody else.

I Black sent it to Fasina and she received it but can’t find it in her inventory.

Might want to look into this one. I am going to play around my end to see if I can get the same errors.

Ok I made a video testing my end:

Sorry about my audio, but to explain for @drakkhis:

HUD version, I am not able to type in any of the fields actually at all.

Web Based version, works as expected. @black to get the option to craft, you need to click on Set Name to lock that in.

I wasn’t able to use the up arrow though to craft more than 1 and had to manually type in. I didn’t confirm if I had more than 1 type of that potion though which could have also been why.

I have not tried “trade” or “give” through the HUD yet for the potion. That could be a different bug happening with the giving mechanics and not specific to a potion. Drakkhis will need to confirm this.

This works. The issue with the HUD based version is media doesn’t allow you to copy paste into it within Second Life.

You have to delete the default UUID that is already in there, and type your UUID in manually unfortunately. This is a limitation within Second Life at this stage until we come up with a workaround.

You were trying to paste over the old UUID, however it was not changing it because of this issue. However, works fine on the web.

This solves the issues, unless there is something else you are seeing?

  1. Web Based works, make sure you click “Set Name” before you will see the Craft icon.
  2. HUD works, just cannot copy paste UUID - must manually type.
  3. Giving potion to other players works on my end and Drakkhis’ end? HUD —> Give —> Avatar —> Bottle. The inventory numbers adjust as is expected.

Let us know if we have missed anything.

While copy pasting is a Second Life issue, it’s not a bug on our end. But, we could come up with work around besides just the Web Based version of the bottling if it’s too much of a hassle.
