[NEW] Huntables - Wolf & Deer

Yeah but, if you pick it up, you’ve not killed it, correct? So you will not get CXP, and you will not get loot. So it’s not benefiting you to pick it up in any way.

Cool, but it’s not a bug then, it’s probably a good thing for you setting up, as it lets you visualise the wolf respawning for you.

Unless you want to report that as a bug that needs fixing

right but since I do not know it yet, I share my experiences. has the advantage that others can understand if they experience the same and you can perhaps make one or the other improvement.

I have gotten a few of the wolves and the deer, I am able to spawn them and hunt them so they do seem to be working fine, but it seems the only drop scrap hide? I am unsure why that would be since wolves were hunted for pelts as well as killed to protect livestock. Is there a specific station the ranger will need ? I see they get a small amount of cxp from killing the animals and I understand they will be able to process leather? is this the extend of their means of gaining cxp? I could see fur pelt from the wolves and antler from the deer, neither as an always drop but in the list of loot items.
Now I willl give a plug for Crimson Hollow. Dorian should have a few swords on the market sometime tonight.

There is a chance of getting animal hide or scrap hide. It’s a percentage chance. Scrap Hide will be able to be converted into animal hide in the new stations. And the new stations will make leather items as well as parchment paper (parchment will be used in engineering tables to make copies of blueprints to use in looms, sewing tables, and carpentry tables for clothing and furniture). Fur and other things will be added to the system later as clothing using fur gets added to the system at a later date.

Rangers will not only gain CXP hunting animals and monsters, but they will also earn cxp from a couple of crafting stations. But the Ranger will also be more geared to the dungeoneering line we will make. So special stations that rez inside dungeons which Rangers can use to craft special items specific to that profession.

Currently, deer have a chance to drop antlers and hooves on top of the carcass and hides. Wolves have a chance of dropping wolf fangs.

Both the deer and wolf can also drop bones.

All huntables will have these special loots that drop, and these loots are special in that if researched in the Alchemy Station, they give a bit more stat variation than every other ingredient that you can research at that station.

Has a bit of witchcraft feel to it. Making potions from animal parts.

Certain animal parts may also be required for other crafting needs. Bones, for example, are a requirement for some of the weapon parts.

We will add more parts as they come to mind, to increase the loot table and rarity of certain parts.
