Instead of allowing people to take apart the stations and pulling the root prim out and getting confused on what is what and where. why not go ahead and offer invisible stations they can put over the item they want the station to look like?
I like this idea and have seen it utilized in other similar systems. Gives the player versatility without leaving room for destroying/breaking the original item. Personally I think the provided items are beautiful and well-made, but this would definitely benefit those who wish to utilize the system for other types of RP/enviroments.

The New Stations are fully modifiable, as long as you keep the root prim, and you can make the root prim invisable
