Hey SL Colonies community!

We are excited to announce a fantastic new feature inspired by your feedback and suggestionsā€”introducing the official Animal Race! This addition is tailored specifically for roleplayers who enjoy playing as animal avatars.

Key Features of the Animal Race:

:paw_prints: Unique Gameplay Mechanics:

  • Debuff for Farming and Crafting: Animal avatars will experience a tool durability penalty, meaning tools will wear out twice as fast when used by animals. This makes traditional farming and crafting less practical.
  • Scavenger Role Benefits: Animals can consume raw foods without getting sick. Additionally, they will have enhanced abilities to multiply their finds using the compass, making them perfect scavengers (coming soon)!

:couch_and_lamp: Customizable Furniture:

  • New Root Prims for Chairs and Beds: We are introducing invisible root prims that can be crafted and attached to existing furniture. These will allow animal roleplayers to create sitting and sleeping animations that make sense for their avatars, helping regenerate energy and reduce fatigue.

:crossed_swords: Enhanced Combat Abilities:

  • Animal-Specific Combat: While fist fighting is currently available, we will be adding new melee combat styles tailored to animals, including claw and bite attacks!
