The Sewing Table is where the cloth chain finally becomes something you can wear or sleep on. It is seamstress work and nobody else’s.

If you have not used the first two, start there. This table is the last step and it needs both of them.
Two things go on the table
A plan. The paper template you sew around — imagine cutting out a shirt. You research it at the Research Table, and then you have to copy it at the Engineering Bench using parchment. Parchment comes from a ranger at the leather rack, from hides. It is the same route a loom pattern takes.
A material. A bolt of cloth from the Loom — wool, cotton, linen, silk or satin — woven from string spun at the wheel.
Choose the plan and the table loads a blank template. Add the material and it textures the template in your own cloth, so you see the finished item before you commit anything.
Five minutes a craft.
What that gets you
Sheets today, with cushions, pillows and clothing coming. What you make is a real item: sell it, trade it on the market, or fit it to your own furniture.
Why a colony needs a seamstress permanently
This is the part worth understanding, and it is the reason this profession has a business rather than a hobby.
Furniture will not work without linens. A bed with none tells whoever sits on it that its linens have been ruined and to contact the owner. Fit them with a long left-click — change linen — and it works again, regenerating energy and fatigue while you rest.
And linens wear out after a hundred uses. A hundred sleeps and the material is spent, and the owner has to come back for more. Better cloth restores faster.
So every bed in every colony is a customer on a timer.
A note on professions
Only a seamstress can use this table at all — that was tightened deliberately. The plan and the material both cost three other professions’ work to produce, so it is not a station you wander into by accident.
