[COMBATABLES] Weapon Crafting Table

Where the parts become a weapon — and where, if nobody has built that combination before, you get to name it.

The last step

Parts on their own do nothing. The forge and the carpentry bench make blades, handles, pommels and guards; this table is the only thing that puts them together.

Left-click and choose what you are building: a sword, an axe, a knife or a mace.

Assembling

Add parts one at a time. The table previews the weapon on its surface as you go, and you can remove a part again without losing it — nothing is consumed until you commit.

Preview only unlocks once every slot is filled. Take a piece off and the button goes away again.

Hit Preview and you get the finished stats before you decide:

  • Damage
  • Durability
  • Sharpness
  • Speed and range
  • A render of the weapon as it will look in your hands

Not happy? Stand up. Nothing is spent and no ingredients are lost.

Naming it

If your combination of parts has never been assembled before, the table tells you so and asks you to name the weapon.

  • Under 24 characters, no special characters.
  • Keep it respectable. Names are monitored, and anything offensive or obscene will be removed and the record cleared. You will be told if that happens.

The name is permanent. Everyone who later builds that same combination gets your weapon, under your name, for as long as the game runs. If somebody else got there first, you simply craft theirs.

Trading, and the moment it stops

A finished weapon behaves like any other item until you rez it. Before that you can sell it on the market or trade it in person.

Resizing it makes it yours alone. Once rezzed and taken, it is no-transfer — you cannot pass it on. Keep the crate it came in: it lets you draw a fresh copy if you lose the weapon, but it does not restore your ability to trade it.

Using it

Wear both pieces — the weapon and its sheath.

  • /5 draw to draw, /5 sheath to put it away.
  • Attack in mouselook or third person: hold the left mouse button and tap the direction you want to strike.
  • PvP is opt-in. Turn it on by clicking your own avatar. Both players must have it enabled.

Weapons work on huntable animals and monsters. They will not kill your livestock — cattle only respond to a slaughter knife, deliberately, so nobody can walk onto your farm and clear your herd with a sword.
