Spend crafting experience, wait seven days, learn a weapon blueprint you did not have.
What a player does
Left-click it. It asks whether you want to spend 100 CXP to research a new blueprint. Say yes and you are added to the list.
It takes seven days. Come back after that and click again to collect.
That is the whole interaction. There is nothing to load and nothing to tend.
What you get
A blueprint for one weapon part — a blade, a handle, a pommel, a guard.
You will never be given one you already know. The table checks what you have learned and draws from what is left, so the CXP is never wasted on a duplicate.
Blueprints cannot be sold. They are not market items and they are not tradeable. You learn one once and you keep it permanently.
Where it leads
The research table is the first link in the weapon chain, and it does not make anything by itself:
- Research Table — learn the blueprint.
- Engineering Table — turn the blueprint plus ingredients into a weapon cast.
- Forge & Anvil, or the Carpentry Bench — turn the cast into the actual part. Which one depends on what the part is made of.
- Weapon Crafting Table — assemble the parts into a finished weapon.
Running more than one
You can have as many research tables on your land as you like, and each one is a separate slot in the queue. Somebody researching seriously will want several.
They also work for visitors. If another region has a research table out, you can add yourself to its list and come back for the result. Putting one somewhere public is a reason for people to visit your land twice.
