Adjustable weapon sizes

so a friend and I got weapons recently and opened/attached them and wow are they huge, the bow is taller than my avatar and the quiver is nearly as tall as she is, lol, so I was wondering, can we please have a way to adjust their size? Screenshot - 8c8e3ce2abdf5c5220e6e6bcf21c0e06 - Gyazo

Haha, yeah we can do that. Would be interesting watching an Elf swing a large two-handed sword.

Yes, this is definitely a need. My avatar is relatively tall and her sword hangs nearly to the ground. We won’t talk about the bow. It looks about like the picture above!

I am going to be adding a custom resize script to all the weapons, It will take me a few days to add it to all the variants

Ok Just finished writing the Script and HUD… Going to wait for a little feedback before putting it in everything. Here is a Demo Video

So is the HUD going to talk to any SLC item you have attached? For instance, if you happened to have the HUD attached, would it resize, say, a clay jar? Or would it be specific to weapons? If the latter, will the HUD be stand-alone and essentially “plug and play” or will we have to update weapons in order to take advantage of it?

I can see updating all the weapons in the game being something of a nightmare, at both ends.

It will be just for weapons at this time because right now there is no way for the Tools to remember their size or position, But I will be working on that later… And Yes I am going to have to update every weapon crate, and then for those who want to resize they just have to get a new crate and re-claim their weapon. I will make a crate exchange Platform at the main store where you can rezz your old crate and it will deliver a new one.

I was thinking in terms of accidental clicks on the resizer hud making tools act weird. Other than tools remembering their position, I think they’re fine, personally, and should not need to be resized.

I guess if you are playing something tiny, having little tools might be good, though, now that I think about it.

The Weapons have all been updated with resizers, you will have to get new weapon crates to claim the new weapons

ok I got new weapon from crate, but where do you get the HUD?

how do we get new weapon crates? I didn’t keep crates for 2 of mine, didn’t know I needed to and the hud lists all my weapons when I click get weapon, but when I click one of them it says: “Sorry, You don’t have any of those Items to Use”

Ok figured it out, actually remembered how to get another weapon crate.
just go to the HUD and select get weapon, as long as you have a valid weapon it will show up in the menu as a crate to get. get it then set it out and proceed just like any other weapon crate. You can get the resize HUD from that. It took the resize HUD several minutes to fully load where I could use it.

yea, it’s not giving me the weapons crates.

Hmm I do not know then all my weapons I can get from get weapon.

There is a new HUD in the HUD and Meter package that will accept the weapon Crates.

my basic bow resized ok but my sword won’t and says: “At least one prim is off limits to resize.”

…update: the sword can resize bigger but it won’t go smaller than it’s original size. There must be a piece that’s already at its minimum scale on at least one dimension.

ok I will look at the sword prims

Ok, I have been trying to find a workaround for the Weapon resizing, and the problem is with the blades it seems because they are already the minimum thickness… So I am going to have to go through and adjust the minimum sizes for each weapon, which is going to take a while to do… So If you have a specific weapon you want me to adjust first please send me a message so I can get that one done.
