[NEW RECIPE] SLC Backpack

Want to make a backpack that you can wear on your back and comes with 10 storage slots?

Here’s the details!

Research

First, you will need to learn the plan for Backpack at the Research Bench.

Engineering

You will need to make a copy of your plan, so that it can be brought over to the Sewing Station to actually craft the finished product. You will need some parchment for that, and you will also need to find yourself 2 x copper buckles.

Forge

Buckles are a new recipe in the Forge for the blacksmith, and are made from Copper TIles. You get 1 buckle for every 2 tiles. So a whole bunch of new recipes for the smith to play with below!

Recipe Ingredient
Copper Sheet (1) 1 x Copper Ingot
Copper Strip (10) 1 x Copper Sheet
Copper Tiles (10) 1 x Copper Strip
Copper Buckle (1) 2 x Copper Tiles

Bringing it all together

Bring your buckles and your plan to the Sewing Station.
You can make your bag from any combination of materials, including Leather, Linen, Cotton - you will still get the same bag.

I wouldn’t recommend wasting resources on dying your material, as your output will be the same bag.

Why the same bag?

We didn’t think scripting the bag to change its looks based on your input ingredients would be worth the memory usage.

The bag is fully modifiable, so you are free to tint the texture or apply your own textures to it.

We think the default looks good though.

Texture Maps

We thought about you guys that don’t have texturing skills and want to change up the look of the bag!

Here are the default textures that you are free to modify to your hearts content:

The backpack has 3 faces for textures.

  • Backpack
  • Straps
  • Buckles

I’ve gone ahead and used an AI client (Chat GPTs DALL-e model) to make some variations that you could use, including:

Linen

Cotton

And I made two fun ones for you guys, just to show you that it’s totally possible if you use AI, even if you know nothing about editing images and texture maps.

Rainbow

It is not PERFECT, but it is doable. It’s also friendly if you do the tecturing prior to resizing the item too.

Enjoy!!!
